Okay, it&#8217;s just southwest of Tulsa.\u00a0 OKC to Tulsa? &#8211; that ain&#8217;t very far &#8211; you&#8217;re right, Be patient and I&#8217;ll tell you the story.\u00a0 Oh, and it&#8217;s (sa-PULL-pa)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Bert is apparently tight with the owner of the Indian motorcycle dealership here in OKC.\u00a0 Yesterday (Easter Sunday) he sent him a text and asked if my bike could be moved to the front of the line so I could get on the road.\u00a0 The owner told us that the service department is normally closed on Monday but to bring it in and he would see what he could do.\u00a0 I was waiting in the parking lot when the owner and his secretary (and daughter) rolled in on their Indians.\u00a0 I knew I was going to like this guy when I saw that he was smoking a cigar while riding in to work.\u00a0 I introduced myself to Scott and told him what I would like to get done.\u00a0 We got the paperwork taken care of and he said, &#8220;Why don&#8217;t you take my bike and come back in a couple hours.&#8221;\u00a0 COUGH!!\u00a0 Ummm &#8211; okay.\u00a0 So, I rode down to the Stockyards and back on this silver Indian.\u00a0 I got lots of thumbs up, &#8220;nice bike&#8221;, etc while I was riding it around.\u00a0 It&#8217;s a very nice and comfortable ride &#8211; but I&#8217;m not ready to switch teams just yet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lennysride.com\/2017\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/6-Indian.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-99 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lennysride.com\/2017\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/6-Indian.jpg?resize=584%2C350\" alt=\"\" width=\"584\" height=\"350\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lennysride.com\/2017\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/6-Indian.jpg?w=1000 1000w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lennysride.com\/2017\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/6-Indian.jpg?resize=300%2C180 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lennysride.com\/2017\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/6-Indian.jpg?resize=768%2C461 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.lennysride.com\/2017\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/6-Indian.jpg?resize=500%2C300 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/a>The Stockyards, if you don&#8217;t know, is a conglomeration of of shops specializing in all things western, you can outfit an entire ranch (cattle included) or just find a new pair of boots and enjoy a great steak. It\u2019s home to the Oklahoma National Stock Yards, the world\u2019s largest feeder and stocker cattle market, where live cattle auctions take place every Monday and are open to the public &#8211; I did not go to the auction.\u00a0 What I did, was visit Doc&#8217;s Custom Boots &amp; got fitted for a pair of hand made Bull Hide shit kickers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In addition to Indian motorcycles, Scott is the dealer for the Polaris Slingshot.\u00a0 You might remember, I borrowed my father&#8217;s Slingshot and did a &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.lennysride.com\/recent\/?m=201510\">ride<\/a>&#8221; I have no garage space left so this will just have to go on the &#8220;damn, that&#8217;s nice&#8221; list.\u00a0 It should do really well here, since the colors are Oklahoma State University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">i thanked Scott and Joe (the mechanic &amp; I believe Scott&#8217;s son in law) profusely then hopped on the scooter and headed north for a while, then east.\u00a0 The roads were good enough but most important, was that I no longer had the feeling that at any moment I could be on the side of the road trying to hot wire my kill switch.\u00a0 One last time, Bert, Scott, Joe, and everyone else that helped make this happen &#8211;
